Teacher Education and Development
In order to prepare adequately to teach the prevention of antisocial behaviours teachers need to acquire or strengthen several areas of their skills and knowledge. These include their knowledge about self-esteem, violence, bullying, hate crime, gangs, drugs, prejudice, Internet safety, sexual harassment, racism, television violence and other issues as well as their skills in conflict resolution, classroom management, cooperative learning techniques and safety/security procedures. Several documents were located in this search, but no overview of the knowledge and skills was found. Nor were documents found that responded to all of the topics listed above. Also, consideration needs to be given to what should be covered in pre-service teacher education as well as inservice programs.Explanations (Summaries, Articles)
