Actions  to  Alleviate   the 
Impact  of  Poverty

Poverty can be a contributor to poor health and antisocial behaviour among students by causing motivational problems and jealousies over student possessions. This section of the framework briefly examines what steps can do to alleviate these impacts of poverty within the school setting. These school actions can include head start programs, school meal programs and enhanced family and children's services.
