School Organization
The strategy of reorganizing a school to create a better school climate is addressed here. School size (small or large) and urban/suburban/rural schools are addressed in the next section. Schools can be reorganized in three ways to create an effect on school climate. The decision to create middle schools or junior high schools is one way. The second is to organize a high school into two cycles, junior and senior. A third strategy is to create families or teams within large schools. Both of these approaches have been called "schools within schools". Alternative schools for at-risk students or disruptive students have been discussed previously in this report.Explanations (Summaries, Articles)
