PROVINCIAL/TERRITORIAL CURRICULUM

This series of web pages is designed to help you prepare WebQuests for your students. It will then be possible to save your WebQuest, print it and also publish it on a server. It can be hosted on this site with your permission providing it is consistent with our goals. Welcome to the world of educational publishing!

To start, it is suggested that you read this Primer on how to prepare WebQuests. It will also give you an idea of what it takes to produce a good WebQuest.

Next, it is suggested that you read the background information that is provided on this web site. You should begin by reading "How to Use WebQuests in Health Education". There you will learn to combine effective WebQuest design with evidence-based teaching/learning practices in health education. In particular, we suggest that you avoid having students simply regurgitate information gleaned from various web sites. Instead, have them do things with the information; try to take them to interactive web sites or ask them to use the information from the WebQuest in small groups, classes or school activities. (Note: we have also provided in-depth information on WebQuests, health education and project-based learning

The next step is to go to the next page in this series. Prepare WebQuest.t
