Schools can work with their communities to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. This page explains how a community-school approach can be used.

The elements of this approach have been broken down into five categories: Coordinated Programs  -  Instructional Strategies  - Positive School Culture/Social Environment  - Support Services -  Physical Environment and Resources. Several topics are listed with each category. Each topic presents links to web documents that explain several topics, strategies, provide evidence of their effectiveness, list Canadian and other examples and refer to planning, policy and learning issues.
